Meet our team
Meet Dr. Tonia Traas! Dr. Tonia is the owner and veterinarian of both Sandhills Veterinary Services and Coldwater Pet Care. In 2011, she graduated with an Animal Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She then graduated from KSU College of Veterinary Medicine with DVM in 2016. Dr. Tonia primarily works on large animals but also enjoys time in the clinic. Outside of work, she enjo
Dr. Tessa Krier (Vanderree) graduated from Ashland High School and continued her education at CCC and KSU. Tessa graduated with her AS from CCC, BS from KSU, and DVM from KSU CVM in 2023. She enjoys focusing on internal medicine and dermatology cases in small animal practice. Outside of work, Dr. Tessa enjoys spending time with her husband Luke Krier, and her baby Lars.
Julia was raised in Coldwater, KS and graduated from South Central High School. She then went on to receive her associate's degree in science. She has been working as a veterinary assistant for 4 years. Her duties include taking care of patients, obtaining diagnostic images and laboratory samples, assisting the doctors during exams and surgeries, scheduling appointments, and assisting clients. In
